what are you?

so i'm sorry if i ain't too present. wait till the old man is back and then i'm all of y'all. if i don't sleep for a month.

rich, rich, rich, rich. a father that works in producing music in the states and making tons of money for it, a mother that is a known fashion designer. jiyong didn't quite have anything to worry about growing up, neither does he now. 
he studied in the best schools, wore the expensive clothes, drove the fast cars. he had constant attention from classmates, from teachers, from family, he was born under a lucky star. that famous for doing absolutely nothing life.

however, with all the opportunities he had and all the money, as soon as high school was over, he decided to not pursue further education and "take some time to get to know himself and figure out things." it was so many years of luxury, hanging with the stars, spending his parent's money, partying insanely, never in one place as he would hop to los angeles, new york and back to seoul as much as he wanted and there even was a certain drug scandal his parents had to swipe under the rug for.

it was only then that his parents decided enough is enough. money was cut until he decided to do something productive with his life. now that he had nothing, a lot of the people around jiyong vanished, gave excuses why they couldn't help him or simply straight out decided that he was not worth to be around to anymore now that he had nothing more to offer. one year of calling up favours really taught jiyong a lesson of character, that money couldn't buy everything.

after a long talk with his parents, he decided to apply to universities and actually do something useful to his life. being as old as he was as a freshmen made him latch into the few people he knew, most happening to be members of kao. he ended up joining the fraternity and after a few years, he became vp. he wanted to make sure the people who took him in after his trust issues would be well taken care of and that the new ones to come would have someone to lean on.

as for money, his parents restablished his allowance, wanting him to focus on graduating well, but jiyong doesn't keep all of it, as for he doesn't really currently need rivers of money. what he does, however, is to partly use this money to invest in small and medium businesses and new artists that he finds potential so he can find new talents for his dad, and save the rest to buy things he truly likes.

he is pretty famous now due to his own music career that picked up a few years ago and on top of it, he holds a high position at his father's entertainment company, taking care of some of the bureaucracy and the artists/groups/idols themselves. they're his kids.

personality&facts
jiyong is still in the process of becoming a better person. the sense of entitlement and a slight need for people to massage his ego is still there, but he tries his best to tone it down to the best of his ability and it may or may not slip every now and then. 

he has always been very outgoing, very charming, good to talk to, but after the disappointment he had, he's picky to who he'll let in as a true friend. other than that, he talks to everybody and anybody who is willing to. the sparkles in his eyes and chatterbox will show up the best when the conversation makes him think or just fascinates him.
he takes people's feelings into consideration, but he says what he wants (with sugarcoat) most of the times. no filter, no subject is bad enough. 

jiyong is pretty transparent. if one is observant, one will be able to tell exactly what is on his mind or what he is doing by his mannerisms. a wrinkled nose means thought. a hand on his chin or mouth or hair means he is lying. if he is having a rare, unusual moment of lack of confidence or unsureness, he will play with his accessories or tattoos. sincerity is shown by intense eye contact and occasional hand palms showing. eyebrow scratching at awkwardness. he doesn't know or notice he does all this, though.

as far as sexuality goes, he loves women. but he likes men as well. but damn, he loves women.

he likes to drink (inhumanely high tolerance) and the occasional cigarette, but after disappointing his parents so much, he has quit the drugs. sometimes, he misses it. sometimes, he doesn't at all. sometimes, he has relapses. he's just trying his best.

tattooed. if he's bored, he'll definitely get a new one. jiyong also has quite the diverse sense of style, he believes he can pull off anything and everything. if there is something he is aware of is his looks.
